Oh Look :)

All hail to the Mesopotamian and Canaanite Gods for doing a good thing. I’ll be making extra offerings of thanks this Friday.

It kind of reminds me of when Lord Apollon fired arrows of diseases in the Greek military, when they angered Him, during the Illiad. This is not to say that I think He is Mesopotamian or Canaanite. Does Apollon have any counterparts in those traditions?

  5. While I say my praises to Reshef and Qadesh and Anat and Allat and all of the others over this, I have to say this reminded me of something else: the Johnny Carson “Karnak” bit when he would sometimes say something insulting to the audience if they groaned too much at one of his jokes, and in one instance he said “May the desert spiders hold their annual parade in your shorts!” It looks like the desert fleas did exactly that, and may they continue to do so! 😉
