My Etsy Shop

I’ve just opened an Etsy shop called Wyrd Curiosities. I’ve only uploaded a couple of things so far but over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be posting quite a few handmade items, vintage items, and esoteric services. Check out and hopefully bookmark it folks, for future visits. 🙂

EDIT: I’ve uploaded a couple of photos, a devotional painting of Dionysos, a silverpoint image, and a couple of different incenses from my personal formulary.

  1. When they end up kicking you off over some BS or another, I highly recommend Artfire. They’ve been a complete dream to deal with, compared to Etsy.

      I’ll keep that in mind

      • Nothing against Etsy sellers, but the people in charge have gotten seriously greedy. They used to look out for their sellers, and, you know, actually investigate allegations made against their sellers — but the last couple years have been frought with one drama after another from Etsy admins.

I’m glad I spent the time on there that I had, but the listing fees were eating me alive (Artfire is free for the first 24 items, then a flat rate tiered by shop size) and i was planning to move shop *anyway* — my only regret was that I couldn’t move on my terms — like after moving into the new apartment.

      • …or at least that I wasn’t as dilligent as I used to be about downloading my .CSV file. Having to add every item to my shop manually is a real pisser….

  2. Congratulations! 🙂

Square is supposed to have a pretty good website storefront, doesn’t use Paypal, and only takes a set percentage for every sale – no listing, credit card, or any other fees. I have not looked into setting it up personally, but it’s worth investigating. But here’s hoping Etsy works out perfectly!

    • Oh. absolutely hope that Etsy works out. Just with all the scandals they’ve been having this last couple years, I’m no longer surprised by the people who end up kicked off or just voluntarily leaving for another site.
