Temple of Ba’al Shamin in Palmyra Destroyed.

syria_palmyra_baal_shamin

Today I read that Daesh, may they suffer, has blown up the temple of Ba’al Shamin in Palmyra. This is a week after the slaughter via beheading of the custodian of Palmyra, Khaled al-Asaad (may his ancestors favor him. He lived his life and gave his death protecting a polytheist site). I read this and it actually made me vomit.

May all those culpable in this act (including those in our government who allowed this group of filth to come into being) suffer. May they and all they love rot. May their bones be laid open to the sun. May plague, famine, and disease be their lot. May their lineages be damned and destroyed root and flower. May they be expunged from the earth. May they be called to answer at the feet of Ba’al Shamin

We have made this. We have done this. By our apathy and indifference, by our god damned exceptionalism and interference. It should be our duty to right. This is ours to fix. I go to grieve. This sacred site was worth more than every single one of this shit eating filth will ever be.

  2. May the implacable anger of Baʿāl-Šamīn press down on the vermin that is Dāʿeš and suffocate them, and may his anger inspire those who risk their lives fighting against Dāʿeš! May the fleas of countless camels infest their genitalia! May they suffer unceasing plague and famine! May the names and memories of the sacrilegers and blasphemers of Dāʿeš be obliterated! May their bones bleach in the sun as the rotting meat falls of, untouched even by scavengers! May the winds and sands scatter and erode their bones! May their souls be made to answer to Baʿāl-Šamīn, squashed underneath his feet! May their torment be unceasing and unending!

  3. I don’t have the ability to speak my rage and disgust in so eloquent a manner as those who commented above, but I sincerely hope that every person who took part in this atrocity spends the rest of their horrid lives in unbearable pain.
