Miscellaneous Roundup

I haven’t done one of these in awhile but this morning I’ve been reading several articles that I think are worth sharing.

First, and most important, there is the WildHunt article about Larry Daniel Kaufman, a Wiccan, who died protecting others during the San Bernardino shooting on December 2. He saved the lives of four people before he himself was shot, having essentially used his body as a shield while helping them to escape. He is a hero, who died bravely. May he be welcomed with joy in the halls of his ancestors.

Secondly, here is an article about Heathen Yule celebrations, one that talks about the important role of the Sun Goddess in these rites. This was a thoroughly enjoyable read even if i disagree with conflating Idunna and Sunna.

Finally, there is this article about Loki and Heathenry, written by a Heathen and touching on the way Loki’s folk are treated in the community. It’s a good article despite the horrid opening image.
