Anthesteria 2023 Day 1: Things I found on Walkabout Tonight

Today is the first day of Anthesteria. My husband and I went out tonight and walked along the Main Street of our town, had dinner, made a few offerings, came home. It was an interesting walk and there were many Graffiti kledones:

rather nice sigil working

A phallus for luck and Dionysos

more graffiti—this time “sybil”

A close up of the little star (pentacle?) in the Sybil graffito

Just as we were about to leave today, a Dionysos statue I bought as a present for Sannion arrived.

Found this too and had to bring it home. 😛

Happy Anthesteria, Bacchic folks.

or cabalistic tree of life. I have no idea who painted it or what tradition they were drawing from — fascinating to see though.
