Update on Fundraiser for Njord

I am excited to report that we have thus far raised $90 toward the prayer card for Njord. That still leaves us with $360 to raise. Please consider donating.

If you are interested in helping, please contact me at krasskova at Alternatively, you may paypal me directly at but *please* include your email and which card you’re sponsoring in a note. paypal does not always include these things.

Sponsors will receive six prayer cards of their choice (usually i send six of the card that person sponsored but you can choose others if you like), and you may send me the name of one of your ancestors and I will do a setting of lights and prayers at my ancestor shrine for them for thirty days. I will also send you one issue of Walking the Worlds (you may choose which issue).

Please consider helping this project along.

Fundraising for Two Cards

I am still fundraising for the Hades card — I need $100 $50 to fully pay to have it made and printed. It bothers me from the point of view of respect to have a card for Zeus and a card for Poseidon, but none for Hades. He is the one who gives home to our dead. Let us honor Him.

UPDATE: the Hades card has been fully funded. Thank you so much!

Anyone who wants to donate to this card, I will light candles and offer prayers for the month of January for any ancestor you name. I will do a setting of lights (and for those who have already donated, if you email me names of your dead, I’ll do the same). I do things at my ancestor shrine every night, and I will be happy to include your ancestors in those prayers.

Let’s get this done…Hades deserves to be honored too. I’m sending six cards to each of the sponsors to boot (six Hades cards, or, if you prefer, any six prayer cards you request).

I am also fundraising for Frey. We don’t have a Frey card! I realized this when I was commissioning the coloring books. I very much want to remedy this. He is one of our most popular and most beloved Gods second perhaps only to Thor. I need to raise $450 for Him. Please, please help.

In return, I will do the same: a setting of lights for the month of January for any ancestor you wish. This means near daily prayers for their remembrance, well being, and happiness. For both, if someone donates $100 or more, you will also receive a year’s subscription to Walking the Worlds. Let’s make this happen, folks.

I have started a Patreon Account…

Well, at the urging of quite a few people, I have decided to start a patreon account. I’m a little nervous about this, I’ll admit even though I have often been chastised by colleagues for not allowing others enough of a chance to become part of the Work that I (and many, many others like me) do. Well, here goes.

I just set this up, and after July is over (with its flurry of ancestor work and art obligations), I’ll be posting more pictures, maybe a video or two, etc. For now, those who might be interested, please take a look here.

Thank you!

Commissioned Prayer to Hestia

As part of my fundraising to bring my assistant along to Poland and the Czech Republic this July (where I’ll be visiting ossuaries, skull chapels, and doing a shit-ton of ancestor work), I am taking commissions for prayers. (It sometimes takes me awhile. I still have one to Fionn MacCumhaill outstanding. It’s taking me awhile to get a sense of Him, and to find my way into a purposeful prayer). The following is a prayer to Hestia that I wrote for Sparrow, who suggested that I share it here as well. (Thank you, Sparrow!). For anyone interested in commissioning a prayer, contact me at krasskova at

Prayer to Hestia for Sparrow
by G. Krasskova
I give homage to the Goddess of the hearth.
I will praise Her name so long as the heat of my heart
moves blood through my veins,
so long as the fire of my mind
turns that heart to devotion,
I will praise Her.
So long as my limbs are blessed
with the warmth of life
I will praise this Goddess,
She who renders every home a sanctuary,
and every fire sacred.

Hear now, these words, oh Gracious One:

You, Hestia,
Daughter of Time and the mighty Cosmos
are the fulcrum of order
around which my life revolves,
You Who are present
in the body of every altar, every shrine,
Whose power sustains
all acts of offering,
every sacred rite,
and our traditions,
daily will I praise You.

You, full of blessings,
Who brings wholeness
to every household
every polis,
every heart
where your cultus is maintained,
help me to be worthy of Your gifts.
Keep me clean, oh Goddess,
that I may ever approach You
and all things holy,
rightly and well.
Please hear my prayer
and bestow Your grace upon me,
that my devotions may be pleasing to You,
ever and always.

Hestia, first and last,
I praise You.
